Introduction
The Greater Victoria School District subscribes to the belief that BC public schools are learning communities where students, parents, educators, support staff and community members share the responsibility for student success.听 Parents have insight, enthusiasm and skills as well as a commitment to their children and public schools that contributes to the success of all students.听 By supporting parent education opportunities the Greater Victoria School District commits to supporting the key roles of parents in our school communities.
Funding Purpose:
天美传媒 connectedness can be measured by the extent to which people feel valued, supported, involved and engaged within their school.听 The fund for the 2024-2025 school year is intended to support parent connectedness in their school communities through access to funding for parent education opportunities.
Fund:
For the 2024-2025 school year, a Parent Education Fund (the 鈥淔und鈥�) of $3,000 is available to school Parent Advisory Councils (PACs) to support parent education opportunities. On Tuesday, October 1, 2024, every PAC within the Greater Victoria School District will be invited to apply for a $250 grant paid for from the Fund. Grant applications will be reviewed and evaluated based on established criteria. The deadline to apply is Friday, November 1st, 2024; however, if there are funds remaining after grants have been awarded, PAC submissions will be accepted past the deadline and funds will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Application:
The Fund of $3,000 has been fully allocated for the 2024-2025 school year. Thank you to all of those who applied.听
